Cameras in action is a organisation which aims to obtain more money from the Local Education Authories and the British Goverment. This money is needed to place more cameras within schools, as many schools do not have the enough money to install

cameras in areas such as classrooms.

CCTV cameras are a very useful tool in schools for example CCTV cameras can be used as evidence against a student which is misbehaving.

CCTV cameras protect pupils and member of staff within school.

They help solve bullying issues, if the number of CCTV cameras within schools are increased, bullying levels would signicantly decrease.

With more money for CCTV cameras could be placed in more places, for example in many schools, they don't have enough money to place cameras in all classrooms. With more funding cameras could be placed in all classrooms.

Many pupils and teachers feel safer in school because of the safety provided by CCTV footage.

CCTV cameras can be used in classrooms by faculty leaders to help teachers improve lessons, so the best grades possible are atained.

They can also be used outside classroom such as corridors as students involved in fights can be found.

This image shoes how CCTV footage is viewed. CCTV footage is viewed from many areas on many different screens.

In many schools areas such as the far end of the playground, do not have a single camera. If schools had more money they could place cameras that have a viewin range to these areas. This part of the school should definitely have CCTV cameras as this is where substances such as drugs and cigarretes are dealt. This will prevent young people beginning to smoking and taking drugs.

Antony Edkins a headteacher of a school in England installed CCTV cameras in classroom. He found  the percentage of pupils achieving five GCSEs with grades of A*-C grew from 18% to 52%. The cameras have made a "very significant" contribution to the rise.

CCTV cameras in classrooms could be used not to just keep a close watch on students but also teachers. Every parent should know without a doubt their child is being taught at the highest quality of teaching.
